Stuck Again!

Time sure flies by

So last night Devin, my mom, and my dad flew in from Armenia. J.D. and I were the lucky ones to pick them up at the Vegas airport at 11:25 pm. Yeah, it was a late night for us all, but it was so good to see him. He really hasn't changed much. A few less hairs and little skinnier, but the same Devin we know and love. It's gonna take a while for him to get back into the groove, but I think he'll come around. I don't remember Brandon being so "weird" but it's Devin, NO ONE'S like Devin! We love ya MEV! We're so proud of ya!
He're a few pic's I was able to get last night and today since they all spent the night at our house. We got home at 3:45 am and were beat. So don't mind our sleepy faces.
This one was last night waiting for their plane to arrive. J.D. was so excited! Yeah, he's really asleep.
There they are!
I have the cutest little brothers in the world!
Devin meeting Brit!

He's gonna be such a great uncle! Devin tries to speak Armenian to Brit and he just stares at him like what the heck are you saying:)

Our BIG Boy!
We took him into the doctors yesterday for his 9 month checkup. He weighed 23.2 lbs which is the 83rd percentile. Thats down a little from his 6 month percentile, but once again his height is off the charts. He measured 31 1/2 inches! He is just so tall. He is taller than a lot of 2 year olds we have in our ward. He's on track to be a tall kid, but only time will tell.
So he's crawling... sorta. He can do it, but he just won't. He'll crawl for a few feet and then sit back down and spin. He goes from his from his hands and knees to his butt, over and over again. It is so weird. But it gets him there too! We just can't figure out why he won't just crawl all the way there.

This is also a fun thing he's doing. He crawls to the book shelves and pulls out the books, dvds, paper, and just whatever he can get his hands on. You leave him alone for 2 seconds and this is where he'll be when you return. I feel like I am constantly putting these things away. One day i'll get smart and just move them higher, but until that day comes, this is what he'll be doing:)
I promise I dress him sometimes. He's not always in his diaper!
AND I NEED HELP!!!!
Did you notice the not empty bottle behind him in the last picture? I CAN NOT get him to drink his bottle. He won't let me hold him to drink it and when I lay him down to drink it he immediately gets up and is done. So then i've put him in his crib to drink it cause he can't go anywhere and he finally drinks it. But now i'm worried that has set me up for my next problem. And this might be normal, but it has just started for us in the last 2 weeks. When we lay him down in his crib for a nap he sits up or stands up and at times just SCREAMS!!! We let him do that for sometimes an hour! It is rediculous! He can be so tired, but as soon as we lay him in his crib for a nap he does NOT want to sleep. I know he has to cry himself to sleep sometimes, but everytime and for that long? What do I do? Or is there anything I can do? So if you have any suggestions for getting him to drink the bottle out of the crib and any help for nap time we would greatly appreciate it.

Here are the "happy" not sleeping yet pictures, but this doesn't happen much:)

BRING IT ON!!!
Well I would have to say that summer is already here in Southern Utah! It is so hot!!!! Last night around 9:30 I walked out of Olive Garden from a slow, long night of work only to be welcomed by a 90 degree rush of air! My body was almost in shock! I ran to my car and had the AC cranked up the whole way home.
So don't get me wrong, I love the heat! I would much rather spend 10 summers in St. George than 1 winter in the freezing cold, snowy, icy mess that I used to be in every winter. It's gonna take a lot to get me out of St. George. I love it down here!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!

9 months old!!!
Briton is 9 months old and what a 9 months it has been! The last few months have just been so exciting with new things happening every day. We don't go into the doctor for a few more days so we're not sure of his weight and height right now but you can tell just by looking at him that he is growing like a weed! He's in 18 month clothes right now and growing out of them quickly. He has been in a size 5 shoes for a few months now and I'm sure the next pair we get will be 6's. Yeah and that's in the toodler section. No more cute little boy shoes:( And lets see... He's moving all over the place! He's not quite crawling yet but he rolls everwhere! He get up on his hands and knees and rocks, but he can't figure out whats next so he just lays back down and rolls some more. And if he's on his bum he likes to scoot! You know that commercial where the dog drags his butt across the carpet? That's Briton sometimes. He's starting to pull himself up on things and I think today he finally sat up from laying down all by himself. I didn't see it happen, but he was laying down and the next time I looked he was sitting. Oh yeah, he has 7 teeth. 3 on the bottom and 4 on the top. The top 4 came at the same time and he was pretty ronchy for a week or so and then the other bottom one just popped up a few days later. So many things and so many more to come. I love him so much and just can't wait to see what new things he'll do the next day. He's such a happy baby and just a joy!

Folding the laundry
It worked and he had so much fun. He especially loved poking himself with the hanger as you can see from all the red marks on his face. But I finally got the laundry done! Just in time to start another load:(Posted by Phillips Fam at 8:06 PM 0 comments

Sandhallow
Yesterday we decided to soak in the sun and take a trip to the lake. And boy was it a beautiful day! It wasn't too hot, the water wasn't too cold (chilly, but not freezing), and there was NO WIND!! I know, no wind, what a miracle! We packed up some lunch, snacks, floaties, sunscreen, and all that good stuff and headed to Sandhallow. This is my favorite lake in Southern Utah and it's only 15 minutes away from our house. For those of you who don't know about it, it's like a mini mini mini Lake Powell. And I mean mini! The only bad part about it is that the rest of St. George loves it too. So it can get a little busy. But when we got there, we found a spot that was good for fishing and had a little beach for us. Justin headed out to fish and Brit and I hit the water. The water was pretty cold, but Briton loved it! He splashed around and ate a little sand, but had a great time.
