2 Months ALREADY!!!

Posted by Picasa
We went to the doctor today and she is doing fabulous. She is 11 lbs 2 ounces (61%) and 23.5 inches (88%) and her head is 15 inches (30%). So she's tall and skinny with a little head. But as cute as a button! She's smiling a lot for us and loves to pull faces. She's got some good ones, but her favorite is the "you have no idea what you're doing look". We got that look with both kids. Go figure!

Summertime Fun!!

Warning, Picture OVERLOAD!!!

The other day, Justin and Jaron were planning a fishing trip to SandHallow. Not wanting to be left out on the fun, we all decided to go and enjoy the water and the sun! So we headed out with the Tate and Palmer crew. The first was a little rough for me. On the way down to the water I was carrying Hadley in her car seat and apparently when you walk in sand in flip flops you flip sand all over the place. Unfortunately Hadley discover this the hard way and was seriously COVERED in sand when we got the lake. It was in her eyes, mouth, nose, ears, hair, toes and everywhere else imbetween. She didn't make a peep to even let me know something was wrong and I about cried when I saw her. I had to clean her up pretty good and if it weren't for the chance of swimmers itch, i would have just dunked her. After I got her cleaned and in her suit she was as happy as could be:) The rest went pretty smooth and we enjoyed each others company, some swimming, and of course some fishing. I might be speaking for only me, But I ended up having a ton of fun. So besides the sand bath and the Palmers getting their jeep stuck, it was a successful trip! Can't wait to go back!!!

He loved his life jacket!Hadley after getting cleaned up:)

We have also taken a few trips to the park and like always it is short and sweet, but always fun!

Camp'n in the backyard. Seems like a good idea right? It's Memorial Day weekend, we didn't feel like braving a real camping trip, so do it in the back! We set the tent up, played in it for a while, got Briton all tuckered out and headed to the tent. We were mostly worried about him falling asleep, but he did pretty good at that. We all slept pretty good until about 1:30 when Briton woke up and didn't want to go back to sleep. But don't worry we are just in the back yard and can go inside and put him in his crib, right? WRONG!!! He screamed for a while in there, then in our bed he tossed and turned, so out to the living room for some more tossing and turning, and finally around 4:30 back to the crib for some more screaming and then finally peace and quiet! So needless to say, we won't be trying that again any time soon! But we got some cute pictures:)

Bath Time, one of Briton's favorite activities. And can anyone tell me what color those eyes are cause we don't know!!! All we know is they're just cool. This picture makes them look kinda green, but if you look close, the outsides are a dark blue.

Brit and Hadley. So I decided that I don't have many pictures of these two together because they never cooperate, but then I decided that the picture doesn't need to be perfect, I just wanted them to see each other together when they got older, so here are a few (and a few random ones to finish this long post).

Brit loves helping with the binki

and holding her hands

and of course giving kisses.

But who wouldn't, isn't she cute!

OHHH NOOOO!!!!

BRITON CLIMBED OUT OF THE CRIB!!
I put him down for a nap before my Graduation Program today. Justin was home helping me with the finishing touches and he hears Briton cry. No big deal right? Well then he heard Briton pounding on the door. sigh. I'm not ready for him to not be trapped in the crib whenever I need a break!!! At least he can't open doors yet. hehehe.

STATE TRACK

This last weekend I decided to be brave amd head up north to JD's track meet with both kids and no husband. It sounds crazy and it was!!! Luckily my little brother Devin Drove most of the way with me. And we only had to stop once on the way up to feed Hadley and calm a screaming Briton. We got up there Friday afternoon and watched 1 race. But the main reason I went up, no offense JD, is because Brandon and Javin were down from Spokane and we never get to see them. Brit and Javin had so much fun together! They are only 4 months apart and although they are completely different, they get a long great! They of course had there moments, but overall, we made it through the weekend with only a few tears over toys:) My mom was very prepared for the whole thing and brought 2 of EVERYTHING so they wouldn't fight. Oh and my mom was in Grandma heaven all weekend. She absolutly loved having all the grandkids (all 3) together. Hadley was her usualy self and slept almost all day. How would it be! Anyways... after the track meet we went back to my Aunt Grace's place for some dinner and of course BED!!! I was so exasted from the day and knew the next would be even more exhausting. Brit and Jav had a bath, which Javin enjoyed much more than Brit. He was so tired and he wasn't in the mood for someone else to splash him. And Javin is a tremindous splasher:) So his bath was short and sweet and then it was off to bed.
Friday Pics
Take a look at the picture of Brit alone on the grass. He seriously could watch those big kids playing catch all day long. It was so funny! Everyonce in a while he would go over by them and beg for their football or frisbee, but mostly he just watched. So funny!!
This is at the beginning of the bath when Brit was happy:)

Saturday was a fun, crazy and exciting day. We chased the boys around all day long, but they loved every minute of it. We watched some good races and just enjoyed each others company. My Grandpa Nay came down and it was so good to talk with him for a while. JD did amazing and ended his High School sports career with a bang. He took state in the long jump and also in the 4x400. And he took 4th in the open 400. The boys team also took state and broke a few records. They were a great team this year and won by a landslide! WAY TO GO!!!!

Saturday Pics

This picture sums up how tired and ronchy the little boys were at the end of the day. We wanted a picture of them with JD and they wanted nothing to do with him. JD just added to the drama and threw a fit himself:)

FUN TIMES

I met up with one of my old roomies from college a week ago at the downtown water park. It was so good to see her and... kinda catch up. We were chasing our kids around most of the time it was hard to get a good conversation going. Anna we need to do it again sometime where the kids are confined and there are no roads/cars involved!!
Brit loved this place and I'm sure we'll be visiting it more often. He climbed on the rocks, fell down the rocks, played with Layla's ball, splashed in the water, and he loved the water shooting out of the ground.

Getting so big!

Hadley's been a busy girl the last few weeks. I'm not sure if you noticed in her blessing pictures but we pierced her ears. She was just 5 weeks old, but she barely made a peep. And she looks so cute! I can't believe she's almost 2 months old. She's gaining a ton of weight and everyone comments on how tall she is. So I can't wait to see all that stuff at her 2 month appointment. I don't think she's 16 pounds like Brit was at 2 months, but she's getting up there. She holds her head up all the time and is getting pretty strong. She's also a wiggler. She wiggles and squirms all day. Especially when Dad has her:) She still a pretty good sleeper during the day and at night she's been sleeping until between 5 and 6 the last few days. Ahhh. So nice! She also started smiling this last weekend. The 1st real smile was of course at mom, but Uncle Brandon was good at making her smile too!

Aunt Jen painting her nails with the help of Carissa and Kayla.

Her eyes are a dark dark blue. They are pretty cute!

HELP I'm stuck and I can't get down!!!!

We have this new fountain in our backyard that Briton just loves to play in. Usually it's just splashing around and getting wet, but this is what I found one day after running outside when I heard him screaming!!!
And I'm such a good mom and ran back inside to get the camara and left him hanging on for dear life:) That'll teach him! haha

Busy Saturdays

We have been enjoying the beautiful weather down here and can't get enough Saturdays. I think there should be 2 Saturdays every week:) We love hanging out in our backyard all day long! A couple weeks ago we were outside throwing grass at each other and Brit thought it was the funnest thing. We could have done it all night long and he wouldn't have gotten bored. But mom did and so we did a few airplanes and then decided to go minature golfing. That was such an adventure. We went to Fiesta Fun and had some pizza before trying out the golfing part. I had Hadley strapped to me which left Briton to Justin. I definately had the easier job. Brit was everywhere!!! We only lasted a few holes and he was super bored. He threw his ball in the water, ran off into the driving range, and kept Justin and I from even attempting to take a shot. We did get some good pictures and learned that Briton is not ready for adventures like this. We have since cancelled our trip to SeaWorld:) Maybe next year.

Brit loves lounging on Daddy's recliner!

Oh and I do have a daughter, she just sleeps all the time so we don't have as many pictures. I need to be better!
