It was gonna happen sooner or later...

Last week I had my first experience with other kids being mean to my baby. There are a few younger kids in our little circle but Brit especially loves playing with Parker. He just turned 4 so he's quite a bit older, but they seem to play pretty good. Well at least until other kids get around. Last week we were playing out front and he heard Parker next door in his yard. We walked over there and there were a few kids playing. As soon as they saw him they told him that he couldnt play. Brit doesnt understand that yet so he kept trying to play with them and they kept getting mad and hiding everthing they are playing with. I tried talking to the kids, but I was starting to get upset. So I pick Brit up kicking and screaming, because he wants to play and now Im the bad guy, and headed home. I really had to go home and cool off for almost the whole night. I thought I would be more prepared for this. I mead I see it almost daily as a teacher, but to see it as a mom is a COMPLETELY different story. Now hopefully next time I will be better prepared and not be mad at a couple of 4 year olds all night long.

K.... so right now Im addicted to Craigslist! It's horrible! I used to glance at it everyonce in a while for good deals, but then over the summer I started looking at it for toys for preschool and a bike stroller. Well I have found some good toys for preschool and Brit, but still no bike trailor. But for some reason in the last few weeks I look at it daily and have bought TONS of stuff using it. Here are some of our wonderful purchases.... We got a little trampolin for Brit to jump on, Justin got a new driver for golf, we got a brand new jump house for dirt cheap (I can use it for Preschool and for our SPOILED little boy), and then my FAVORITE FIND EVER!!!! A little tykes kitchen. It is so wonderful and you have NO IDEA how long I have searched for an old little tykes kitchen! And it was only $30!!! Justin even called me at work telling me about it and I called her right away. Brit loves it and so far all the Preschool kids have been so excited about it. They actually use this one, unlike the other boring/broken/pink/blue/green one I had that the kids just hid toys in because they knew no one would look there. haha.

Good times

September so far has been busy, but full of good times. My Preschool started so relaxing at home in our PJs all day is now a thing of the past. (But it was so nice while it lasted.) We now are all ready at 9:15 (Justin at 7:15) and out the door to my friend Kaycies whos watching the kids until AM preschool is over. Then I pick the kids up at 11:30, come home for lunch, and hang out until nap time. PM preschool starts again at 1:00 until 3:00 and so far the kids have slept great during that time. Lets hope it stays that way. Then after preschool, Justin gets home and we can hang out and do whatever. I'm still working at Olive Garden a few nights a week which is really such a blessing. No matter how much I hate leaving the kids and Justin, I need the "out" so bad and love all my good friends at OG and making new ones serving tables. (The money is nice too.) So whether you wanted to hear about our busy schedule or not, there it is. haha. Of course we still have so much fun together and he's some proof...

My friend Shannon took some pictures of Hadley yesterday out in this big field of sunflowers! It was so pretty and Hadley actually cooperated for a while. This is the one picture she put on her photography blog and it makes me wanna see the rest so bad! I mean look at that cute face with the big blue eyes and the bottom lip sucked in. She does that all the time, so I think thats why I like it so much. More to come soon!

LAKE POWELL 2009

We had a great time at Powell this year. Hadley, Brit and I really missed Daddy (he had alrady started teaching), but tried to have fun anyways. We went with my family and some neighborhood friends. They have a little boy that is almost 4 and he and Brit had a great time together. They had matching life jackets and they thought that was pretty cool. I was so glad Hunter was there because when he wore his lifejacket Brit was a little better at putting his on.Unfortunately Brit got another ear infection on the trip and for a few days just slept, cuddled with me, and was pretty much connected to my side at all times (which would have been great except I wanted to go play). But by the last day he was back to normal, playing in the water and the sand and he actually had a smile on his face the whole day! It was nice! We also went on some tube rides and he seemed to really like it. He kept waving at everyone on the boat and attempting to give the thumbs up.

Hadley was an angel as usual and was just her happy little self. She didnt like the life jacket, but as soon as we would get going she would relax and fall asleep. She also like splashing in the water feeling the warm sand on her toes. What a sweetie!

On Sunday we went on a relaxing boat ride. We saw some ruins, drove through beautiful canyons, and had a few good swims.

In one canyon it looked like there could be a fun hike but I wasnt going to attempt it with the kids. So the three of us stayed on the boat and hung out together. Brit and Hads layed on the floor of the boat and had a great time together.

As always I cant wait to go back! Oh and I went wakeboarding! It was so fun and I missed it so much. Because of pregancies I hadnt been for 3 years!!
