I don't mean to brag...

I am completely done with my Christmas shopping! I am so excited that I can now enjoy December. I also got my decorating done this weekend and Justin got the lights up. Now this may be normal for some of you, but for us it is NOT!!!
I went down to Vegas last weekend with my mother and sisters in law for our annual shopping spree. In the past I had just kinda followed them around with only a few things to get. It is my time to get to know them better and I love it. We have so much fun together and I look forward to it each year. Anyways this year it was me who had a ton to get. And I went home with only a few gift cards to purchase (which I got on Wednesday before the crazy shopping weekend). What a relief!
We also got a family picture taken on Thanksgiving so maybe I'll get my Christmas cards out before Dec. 25th this year!

I'm so Big! & ZION!!!

Briton turned 15 months a few day ago and of course went in for his appointment. I'm kinda getting sick of doctor appointments and he is now scared of doctors and refuses to lay down on the table for them. How sad! Hopefully we will have some more positive, less painful encounters in the future. They weighed and measured him and he's 27 lbs (88th percentile) and 34 in long (99th percentile). The doctor keeps asking us if we have a lot of tall people in our family, but Justin is 6 ft and my brothers are all 6 -6.2 so I guess thats tall. My mom did tell me that I have a great great something that was the tallest man in Utah a long time ago so who knows. He now has 14 teeth. He is just getting his eye teeth and if he smiles he looks like he has a full set of teeth. Is 15 months early for eye teeth or is that normal?
Like always he loves reading books but now it is getting to be more often. He either has a car or a book in his hand and usually it is the Cars book so he gets both at the same time. He carries it around with him and if you ever sit down he'll come put it on your lap. Or sometimes he'll follow you around and make you sit down to read it. And anyone who comes to visit, the first thing he does is brings a book to you to read to him. We're sick of reading the cars book so all we do is flip through the pages with him and that seems to make him happy. But I'm so glad he likes books. He can flip through a book better than some of my Kindergarteners could and that makes me proud!
He puts everything on his head. I wish I had more pictures of it because anything he can find that will fit over his noggin he'll put it there. Anything from hats, baskets, boxes, toys, etc. It's so funny to watch him try and run around with those things on his head blocking his vision. He runs in to everything and usual falls. But he just laughs and gets right back up.
He's so much fun and I know I say this all the time but he just makes everything so special. He is always making us laugh and we just love him and are so glad he's ours:)
We decided to take a drive after church on Sunday and take advantage of the beautiful weather and scenery. Well the weather was beautiful to us because we LOVE driving in the rain. It's been one of our favorite things to do since we were dating and now with gas under $2.50 again it makes it a lot easier. So we hopped in the car and headed to Zion. We were hoping to find waterfalls all through out the park but there must not have been enough water yet. So while the rain had stopped we decided to get out and snap some pics. As you can see we aren't dressed for great pictures but they are still cute! Brit just loves to be outside and even though it was a little chilly, it was fun to see him run and climb on everything.

Visit from Sophie

So Sophie and Melissa, my niece and sis-in-law, stopped by last Friday night on thier way up to Cedar and we just love it when they do. Brit and Sophie are getting to that age where they play together and it is so fun to watch. Sophie is almost walking so when Briton walked around she just starred at him. So they mostly just stood around the ottoman and starred at each other, it was so cute! Hopefully we can get together more often so it doesn't take so long for them to warm up to each other.

It's OVER!!

Today we had our Primary Program and it is such a relief to to be done with it. I was in charge of writing it and really just making it happen. And let me tell you, what a pain in the butt. I thought it would be pretty easy, but having the big Primary that we have, it was not as easy as I thought! And there is a lot more to it that I realized. But of course I had tons of help from the rest of the Presidency, THANKS, and it turned our great! The kids are so cute and sang so good and loud. I've been the chorister for 2 other programs in the past and they didn't sing nearly as loud. I guess that says something obout my skills in that calling:( So anyways, it's done and now I can relax and enjoy Primary again. Wheew!

The results are in......

and this is what we got to see first so this is what you get too. Isn't he/she cute? I was secretly dying to find out and all the ultrasound tech wanted to look at was everything but the bottom side. Finally she asks, do you want to find out what it is? Ummm yes! And this is what we saw next. I had no idea what it meant and she asked if it looked the same to me (meaning the same as Brit). I said yes, but really had not clue. She then responded, nope, it's a girl! I thought maybe I was ready for that answer, but lets be honest, I was expecting to hear "boy" so I was in shock! Justin was busy wrestling Brit and I had to tell him that we had a little girl coming our way! I wish I could have seen his face:) We then got to see the rest of her and WOW, I forget how cool it is! All of the cute little feet and hands, the heartbeat, the face, the legs and arms kicking and punching, and just all the little things. What a miracle they are!!!

We left the room just looking at each other. A GIRL!!! That means all new stuff, which means pink stuff! And for those that know me, I've never been a pink girl, so this will be interesting:) But now that I've had a few hours to soak it in I am getting more and more excited! And so is Justin. He will be so cute with a little girl! We've already got the nursery planned and are now just going through names we like. We can't wait for what lies ahead!

Happy Halloween 2008!

So unfortunately on Halloween my camara decided to have no battery so while he was being cute and posing for the cell phones, our camara was charging. And that is about how our night went. Pine View had a play off game that we went to and enjoyed. Brit was acting funny the whole game and with a few minutes left he decided to show us why he was acting that way. He puked everywhere and all over his cute costume. So we ended up stripping him down and then puting him to bed when we got home. So no trick or treating this year:( Not that he knows the difference. It's probably better that way because I'm sure it's the candy from earlier that day that caused the puking. So hopefully we have better luck next year!

Carving Pumpkins and the Cutest Frankenstien EVER!!!

Last Monday we went over to the Tates to carve our pumpkins. So while Camdyn and Brit ran around screaming and chasing the dogs, we carved pumpkins. This year, unlike last year, all the pumpkins survived. Kari's had a trajic ending last year and ended up just a big hole! But this year we all ended up being succesful. Justin (who just loves taking pictures) took on the task of carving the HUGE pumpkin. It took a lot of muscles, but he finally got it cleaned and carved.

Justin's is the cyclopse, mine is the pirate skull, Jaron's is Iron man, and Kari's is a witch!

They turned out great and look even better out on the front porch.

Briton has been enjoying throwing his pumpkin. He see's it, yells "ball, ball" and runs and picks it up. Today it finally cracked, but considering he's been throwing it for 2 weeks now says a lot about the strength of those pumpkins:)

This is my favorite picture. You gotta love the butt crack!

And last but not least, the cutest Frankenstine ever! I dressed him up for my preschool party today and he was a hit! I'll put a little more makeup on him tomorrow, but I couldn't resist putting him in his costume a day early!

These pictures aren't great because I just hurried and snapped them before Preschool. So there will be more to come.
