Hadley Jo's Blessing

Hadley was blessed last Sunday and it was such a beautiful day. Justin did and amazing job! We had tons of friends and family there and it made it even more special. And of course Hadley looked adorable. Her dress was so cute and fun. I fell in love with it the second I saw it. I knew I didn't want a big frilly one so this was perfect. You can't beat a light cotton dress in the spring time right? We managed to get some pretty cute pictures. She has her head turned all the time, so it's pretty hard to get pictures of her.

You have to have a screaming picture right?

Justin's Grandpa Phillips was able to come down and we were so glad to have him here. Isn't he one of the cutest Grandpas in the whole world!!

And just because... here are some more pictures of Hadley. We Love You and are so glad you joined our happy little family!

WATER WATER WATER

With the weather getting nice again, we have been outside all day. But down here you have to cool down somehow and we don't have a pool so what do we do? Turn the hose on. It's Briton's new favorite thing to do. We just got some sod to put in a spot in our backyard and so we've been out watering it during the day by hand. Well, everytime we do, Brit runs through the water and gets drenched. I go through 5 outfits a day with him anyways so I figure why not? One day I decided to get him in his swimming suit and hand him the hose. The grass needed water so why not let him do it. He did a great job! The grass got watered along with the playground, the wall, the tree, the dogs, the bushes, and even me. He a had a blast and it kept him entertained forever so I didn't mind. Hadley and I sat in the shade and enjoyed the day:)

Blackmail

The Tates came over the other night for a BBQ. Cam and Brit played outside all night long and were filthy. So we chucked them in the tub together and they had a blast. (You should have seen the water!) They did not want to get out and would have stayed in there all night. I had to get some pictures of their first bath together just in case I needed to use it to my advantage when they get older. jk. They are so cute!
I guess on Sunday at Hadley's blessing they were walking around holding hands. Awww!

Randomness

These are just some random pictures that have been taken over the last few weeks and I thought they were Blog Worthy:)
We got Brit this cool tent thingy a while ago and finally broke it out. He loves it, I hate it. Its nice when it's outside, but the winds been blowing so bad lately that it is in the garage or our living room most of the time. What a pain! But he loves it, and he's spoiled rotten, so there you have it:)

One of my favorites peps in the world came to visit a few weeks ago! We were roomies in college and now live on opposite ends of the state. We don't see each other nearly enough, but she's come down to visit a few times and I love seeing her every time! (Ana and Britta, we missed you) Thanks again Michelle! Love ya!

Hadley fell asleep like this the other day. So cute!

Smokey the Bear came to my Preschool the other day and the kids LOVED him. They haven't stopped talking about him and keep asking me when he's coming back!

My Boys

These two have been inseparable the last few weeks. It's so fun watching them together and Justin is such a great dad! Brit already looks up to him so much. I love you two!

JAM PACKED EASTER WEEKEND

Justin had a soccer trip up north on Easter weekend and I decided that since I was going to be home alone for 2 days with 2 kids for the first time, I would get some help. Unfortunately help was at Coral Pink Sand dunes. So Friday I packed the kids up and headed out. It wasn't that bad actually and when the wind wasn't blowing it was semi warm:) Hadley slept in the trailor the whole day and Brit loved playing in the dirt and hanging out with Uncle Mev and JD. He rode the 4 wheelers and the rino, But HATED the helmet. It didn't stay on for long. He found a flag and walked around with it for quite a while. I was really cute! He also tried to join the big boys in a Bocce game, but he mostly just liked chasing the balls and picking them up when he shouldn't. I thought it was funny, the the boys playing the game, not so much:) He attempted to color eggs with the other little boy there, but mostly just watched. Then we went and rolled easter eggs which is of course a tradition for my family, like most families in Sevier County. Brit loved it and would have stayed there throwing egss all day if we would have let him. We could only find sand hills so the eggs wouldn't brake. We eventually threw them at each other till they broke. It ended up being a pretty fun day!
Saturday night I decided to dye Easter eggs with Brit. I took his clothes off, put paper towels everywhere and let him go to town! It was so fun and he loved putting the eggs in the cups. He would just pile them on top of each other and get mad when they wouldn't go all the way down. It was pretty funny. I think his favorite part though was taking them out with the dipper and putting them in the egg carton. Thats when things got really messy. I thought he was going to be blue for weeks, but it came right off in the tub. His socks will never be the same though. I'm so glad we did it and he had a blast.
Easter Sunday was just very relaxing. We went to church, had a yummy dinner, and played in the yard. We did a little easter egg hunt for him and he loved picking the eggs up and chucking them into the basket. He got lots of fun stuff from the easter bunny and grandmas and grandpas. I think his favorite was the $5 golf clubs from walmart that were a last minute purchase for our Phillips family tradition.

Our Phillips family tradition is golfing easter eggs. A little history on this event... Justin thought rolling eggs was lame, and we both love golfing, so our first Easter married we froze some easter eggs and went out to smash some eggs. We've learned over the years to not let them get too thawed or they are a mess. This year Brit was able to participate instead of just watching like last year. He loved watching daddy hit the eggs and would point at them and try to chase them. He also liked just throwing the eggs and once again they wouldn't brake cause they were frozen! It was a great family home evening!
It is so fun seeing him grow up and this little event is just more proof that he's not a baby anymore:(

Hadley's Update

At Hadley's 2 week appointment (4/13/09) she was doing great! She was still 20 1/2 inches and only weighed 8 lbs 2 oz which is less than her birth weight, but doc didn't seem too concerned. She is a great baby and still sleeps a lot. She eats all day long though. She's a snacking baby and will only eat 1 or 2 ounces and then is hungry a couple hours later. I'm sure that's normal, but Brit would scarf 4 ounces and then not eat for 4 or 5 hours.
Look at that cute butt!
Today she is 4 weeks and is so much more alert. She doesn't sleep as much during the day, but the other night she only woke up once and I was so excited! Hopefully that will soon be every night because I am TIRED!!! But she's so worth it:)
I can't believe how much fun I am having with this cute baby girl. I mean look at her! She's got a headband and a braclet on. That's more than I do for myself!
We are blessing Hadley next Sunday, May 3rd at 11:00. So if your in town, stop by! The more the merrier!
