Evening Drive

We don't get very many evenings together during soccer season, so when the team had a bye tonight we took advantage of it. We decided to head up to one of our favorite places... Kolob Res. We just hopped in the car, grabbed some dinner, and headed up to see the leaves. There weren't too many leaves that have changed on our side of Kolob, but on Cedars side there were a ton and they were beautiful. Now we took some pictures with our broken camara so don't be too judgemental about out photography skills. The screen is busted and we couldn't see anything we were taking and just saw them now for the first time on the computer. We didn't get many good ones, but maybe it will put you in the "Fall Mood" and you'll get out and look at the leaves for yourself. They are gorgous and if you live down south, head up to Cedar mountain. We want to go up again soon and get some pictures with Brit and the leaves. He was asleep most of the time and it was too late anyways. It gets darker a lot faster in the mountains than down here and we ran out of light real fast:( So this may be continued in a few weeks. Until then, enjoy the amature, unfocused pictures.

I miss Cedars sunsets! They are always so cool!

Quick Note

We went in for an appointment yesterday and got to listen to the heart beat. It makes it feel so much more real! I can't wait for the ultrasound (5 weeks away). With Briton we already had an ultrasound by now so I'm kinda going crazy!

GO CHARGERS!!!

The other day Justin found this chargers shirt for Brit and bought it. It is now our favorite shirt and he wears it every Sunday and Monday night:) They haven't lost since we got it for him so maybe he's their good luck charm. They owe us BIG TIME!! So we think he looks so cute in it and I just wanted to show him off!

Bonding watching football!

They were taken on my cell phone so they aren't the greatest pictures. We need a new camara! We haven't had one since Briton's bday and I'm about going crazy!

The WORST EVER!!

So I hate when Briton is sick and there is not much I can do to comfort him, or when he falls and all I can do is kiss it better and give him a hug; But something happened tonight that tops those times about 100. I was leaving Justin's soccer games around 8:30 at night. I was getting Briton put in his car seat and I had the keys in my hands too. I heard a click sound and realized I had accidently pushed a button, but then after struggling with him and having set the keys down to get him all buckled in I forgot about it. I get out and shut the back door and try to open the front door and.... you guessed it, it was LOCKED!!!! I tried all the doors thinking one if them has got to be unlocked, right??? But no! So then I start freaking out. I look in at him and he's fine. Luckily I had given him his bottle to keep him busy. I'm having all these thoughts run through my head of how to solve this little problem of mine, but all of them besides breaking a window will be more than a half hour before I can get in the car. I of course had no spare and niether did Justin, who was and still is oblivious to what has even happened. (He's still at the game.) So I call my amazing neighbor who has 3 little boys and probably the last thing she wanted to be doing right then was hop in her van and drive into town, but of course she told me she would. So by this time, Brit is screaming because mom is outside waving and bawling and he's inside roasting to death. It was now around 8:45 but still in the upper 80's plus ten inside the car. So the more I look at him, the more I cry. And all these people that I know keep walking by and saying Hi, but are too imbarassed to stop and see whats wrong with me. So, with Melanie on her way I call my mom to cry to her and I knew she could make me feel a little better about being a HORRIBLE mom! I talked to her for about 20 minutes and finally got calmed down right as Melanie pulled into view. So I finally got into the car, tried to comfort my poor, sweaty, tired little boy and didnt even really get a chance to tell her how Grateful I am to her for saving me. Now we're home, safe and sound, and I am planning out my day tomorrow (which of course includes getting 10 spare keys made so this will NEVER happen again!)
So to all you mothers out there, either don't be stupid like me and don't lock your baby in the car in the first place OR go out NOW and get some spare keys made.

I need some help!!!

Okay, I have been craving shrimp lately and the wierd part about it is that I have never been a huge shrimp fan. So anyway, I'm trying to figure out if I'm supposed to be eating it while I'm pregnant. I know I'm supposed to stay away from fish with a lot of mercury (whatever that means) but does shrimp lie in that category. And I don't feel like this is a question I should be calling my doctor's assistant for so help me out! And hurry because we want to go to Red Lobster tomorrow night for all you can eat SHRIMP!!!!

ODE TO FOOTBALL

Okay so I'm really not writing a poem, although Mr. Benjamin would be proud if I did, but let me just tell you how much I am loving that football has started again! I have been able to see my little brother JD play twice (I may be bias, but he's awesome); I'm absolutely loving college football (go USC!!); and then Sundays are so much more enjoyable now that we can come home from a crazy 3 hours of wrestling Brit and the Primary kids at church to turning on the TV for some NFL. And even though I'd much rather watch college football, Justin has joined the Fantasy Football World (thanks Jaron) and it has actually made me watch those games more closely. I can see how so many men get addicted to it. Justin is on the computer all the time figuring out who to trade, who to keep, who to start, and after this week what new quarterback to get now that his TOM BRADY is out for the season!! Ouch! Now I haven't mentioned our Pine View football team. We haven't been able to watch them yet because there are only 2 home games this year and the 1st one was a couple of weeks ago at 9pm and they charged everyone! So we didn't go. Hopefully we'll be able to see them eventially this year. So for the next few months if you need us, most likely we will be sitting at home BBQing, relaxing, and watching the game(s). So come on ever, we'd love the company!

Here we go again!

So yes, it's true, we're soon gonna have TWO!! We are so excited and just can't wait for what lies ahead! So for those that have asked if it was a surprise, yes and no. It took us so long to get pregnant before so we decided to go off the pill around April. We were hoping to really start trying in August so that we could have the baby after preschool got over in May. Well, this one's obviously not as patient as Brit and wanted to come down ASAP. So now I'm due April 5, just a little earlier than we wanted, but it just goes to show, we are not in charge all the time:) But we really are super excited! They will be about 20 months apart and hopefully be just best friends. Justin of course wants another boy and I don't care either way. I loved having an older brother so a girl would be fun, but if it's a boy, Brit will have a good buddy to play with. I've been sick almost all day, but it's not horrible. I don't throw up, I'm just a little queasy and tired. I feel like I already look 6 months prego, so I might be ginormous by the end of this one. But at least the end of this pregnancy will be winter and not the dead of summer! So there we go, I've still got a long ways to go. I'm definitely not ready now, but I guess that's why we have 9 months.
